Tom Wagner is the brother of Charles Wagner and uncle to Lucius.

He is probably the greatest disappointment to Fabius, as he spends most of his time locked in his improvised studio, editing self-made porn tapes. Detective McGuffin calls Tom's room "a sick pervert's nest".

He is having a secret relationship with the maid Jovita Munez, for which he seems to have some feelings, but that doesn't stop him from having an affair with her colleague Susan Myers, which will ultimately prove to be his undoing.

History[]

Background[]

Alongside Charles, Tom was born and raised in the lap of luxury at the Dante Manor, the opulent residence of Wagner family built through accumulated wealth of their father Fabius thanks to the latter's connection with the Mob and later, the occult. He and Charles played together at the cellar unaware of it led to the ritual chamber their home concealed ever since its construction. Whereas Charles became a successful senator and even lived a married life, Tom instead grew into a lowly womanizer and domestic porn producer, much to Fabius' disappointment.

Around this time, Tom developed romantic relationships with both Jovita and Susan separately, two of the family's maids. It can be inferred that he had antagonistic relationship with Agnes Morgan because of the latter's unpleasant nature as much as everyone else as revealed upon being questions for the investigation regarding her death.

Lucius[]

As shown in "Cold as Hell", Tom is present during his nephew's birthday alongside everyone else in the Manor, blissfully unaware with what will befallen them all. Other than that, he spent much of his time in his room creating porn as usual. He also attends family Christmas dinner in " Holy Day Slip".

In "Fatal Affair", Tom and Susan are having sex together with the former sloppy enough to let the door to the latter's room. Using Fabius' camera, Lucius takes the picture of them blissfully in the middle of the act and places it at Jovita's room thus making it looked as if Tom did so to spite her in addition of leaving the padlock and rat poison used to murder Mary and Agnes respectively prior there thus framing her for said murder. Following Jovita's suicide, he is confronted by Detective McGuffin who informed her of the authorities' suspicion on Jovita regarding Mary and Agnes' deaths as well as his indirect role in her death. As disgusted as he was (mostly due to finding his room and improvised studio as "a sick pervert's nest" along with him ignoring the fact that he had an underage kid (his nephew Lucius) living alongside him in Dante Manor), McGuffin reassures that he will exclude Tom's indiscretions from police reports pertaining the incidents in the Manor, something which Charles agrees on since he decides to discipline his brother himself.

The news of Jovita's suicide and presumed involvement in the murder of Mary and Agnes severely affected Tom, leading him to sink even lower than he already did. In fact, while he stopped making porn since then, "The Mind Can Only Take So Much" showed him reduced into a drunkard. Seeing that the time has come to eliminate his uncle, Lucius tricks him to drink a poisoned bottle of beer and stays with him until the poison begins to take effect. Upon realizing what's going on and seeing the cold gaze of his nephew, Tom correctly deduces him responsible for every deaths in the Manor before perishing in front of the unfeeling Lucius.

Tom's dead body later found by the devastated Charles later that night, who subsequently kicks Detective McGuffin and Terrence out of the estate in the next day. Coming into terms of the calamity that had befallen the Wagners being something he shouldn't involved into too far coupled with nightmares pertaining them ever since he took the case, the detective made up his mind to visit the confession booth in the Church where Father Lagel and Father Dicosimo work at. Apparently understanding the gravity of the situation more than the detective does, Father Lagel decides that the Church should intervene in his stead.
